Oakland police have identified the second person who died after a weekend mass shooting in downtown Oakland that left seven people shot and triggered an ongoing homicide investigation.

The shooting unfolded early Saturday morning, March 7, 2026, on the 400 block of 14th Street near Broadway. Officers responded shortly after 3:30 a.m. and found multiple gunshot victims at the scene. The incident occurred at EZ’s Lounge, a bar located at 412 14th Street.

Victims identified; one died at the scene, one at the hospital

Police identified the two people killed as Latetia Bobo, 33, of Richmond, and Markise Martin, 25, of Stockton.

Bobo died at the scene. Martin was taken to a hospital and later died at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. Five other people were injured; authorities said they were listed in stable condition.

Investigation status and what police have disclosed

Investigators said they are still working to determine the motive and circumstances that led to the shooting. As of Monday, March 9, no suspects had been publicly identified.
